Wedding Boudoir Shoot: More Than A Groom's Gift, A Great Gift For You!

So very many brides-to-be reach out to me for a bridal boudoir photoshoot thinking it to be a great groom's gift: and it so is, beating out any material gifts you can think of!

But to every bride out there I say, a wedding boudoir shoot is not just for your fiancé -- it is also the most amazing gift to celebrate you in this gorgeous time of your life and immortalize the beauty of your now (and all your hard work you've put into getting wedding ready). It's a day to be pampered and dress up in the lingerie your groom gets to see on wedding night - and a teaser for the wedding night for sure. And it so it's no wonder, my brides report coming back to their wedding boudoir photos time and time and time again (often way more than their actual wedding photos).

Preparing For Your Wedding Boudoir Shoot: Choosing An Epic Location

As with any other boudoir session here with me at Boudoir by Andreea B. Ballen Photography in New York City, a Zoom Session Design Consultation is part of your luxury boudoir experience. It's a chance for us to meet first without the camera in the way so you can start feeling more comfortable, and also a chance for me to find out about you and all the ways we can make your bridal boudoir session unique to you.

When it came to location, Ms. R came in knowing that she did not want to have her session in her home like other bride-to-be choose, instead opting for a spectacular hotel location. After looking at different clients (who have given permission to share their photos on a Zoom) in different locations, she knew this hotel in Manhattan, offering gorgeous skyline views of NYC and a gorgeous golden sunset on the balcony (weather permitting) was where she wanted to have her wedding boudoir photos captured and herself immortalized.

Preparing For Your Wedding Boudoir Shoot: The White Outfit

Not every bride-to-be chooses to incorporate a white veil in her photos, or a white lingerie outfit at all. However, the white veil and/or the white outfit is a nice homage to the wedding day - and Ms. R chose to rock both at her session beautifully.

TIP: When looking to incorporate a veil into your photos, it is recommended that you wear one bought inexpensively - and not necessarily one you would wear to your wedding. Not to mention, some clients choose to wear the veil just for the boudoir photos and not at their wedding at all.

Preparing For Your Wedding Boudoir Shoot: The NON-White Outfits

As with any other boudoir session, lingerie outfits are chosen to hug and accentuate curves. Jewel toned colors and classic black photograph beautifully -- and Mr. R looked just as stunning in color as in white.
